Tourism matters

Destination Skåne + Innovation = Tourism matters

Innovation is a key element in pursuing a sustainable Skåne and destination where tourism is part of the solution to the societal challenges we face. Open innovation is based on the realization that the right skills or the best ideas do not only exist with one actor but that we need a team of people with different skills and backgrounds in order to find new solutions.

Tourism in Skåne coordinates and implements cross-sectoral innovation projects to address challenges within sustainability. Their goal is to engage with local actors to make Skåne a more sustainable destination, while challenging the status quo and thinking innovatively.

Tourism in Skåne welcomes you to a panel discussion about design thinking, working in cross-sectoral teams, and innovating with local actors.

The panel will consist of members from two projects, Project Footprints and Gastrolution-Nytänkarverkstad (innovator workshop). Project Footprints addressed undesirable visitor behavior in a National Park and Nytänkarverkstad addressed waste and one-time-use articles at local drink festivals. The panelists will discuss the process, the experience of working with different actors, tight constraints, team dynamics, and share important lessons learned. The teams’ solutions were only one output, Tourism in Skåne uses these processes as a means to learn, develop, and adjust their way of working in subsequent projects. Tourism in Skåne is always looking for collaboration partners who are willing to challenge themselves and want to make Skåne a more desirable and sustainable destination.
