PROXIMITY - Nearness in time, space or relationships

Proximity is the experience of being close – the connection between people, cities, countries, species, professions, etc.

Proximity can be about geographical distances or functional conditions that affect how often we cross paths with others. Closeness that allows us to get to know each other, discover similarities across borders and create relationships.

Proximity can be an expression of fellowship and belonging. To be a part of a community or context. The importance of social closeness in a time of physical distance. Generosity, openness, and a great sense of humor.

Proximity can include several dimensions. To produce and consume locally – to use the assets and resources that are close by to build a sustainable future. At the same time, be globally interconnected between continents, countries, and cities. To feel kinship with people all over the world and consider how closely we all are connected to each other.
