Material that has been thrown away, in the hands of a thoughtful designer ending up in a conscious design interior.

A journey that creates many new unexpected values for the environment, the individual and the society.

At Main Location Lokstallarna Kirseberg, SKRYTA [slow design] och ROBERTSON ReDESIGN show opportunities with waste material as a starting point.

Both designstudios are joined with a passionate mindset for change and the courage to push the boundaries of what design can do to create new values. They met through an upcycling/sustainability project 10 years ago and here re-establish the professional contact.

SKRYTA's production is based on community and togetherness during the process, use of local resources and collaborations. The end result is an appealing lamp that attracts attention and creates conversation.

ROBERTSON ReDESIGN's products are all unique and handcrafted in small series. The starting point is what a discarded material can become, not what it has been. The working method is perfect for unique, spectacular and site-specific orders, developed in close dialogue with the client.

Helle Robertson is the old school men's wear tailor and pattern cutter who got interested in sustainability issues and eventually obsessed by the rational use of resources.

Today she is the mastermind behind the sustainability oriented fashion brand Robert&Blad as well as ROBERTSON ReDESIGN, where she produces garments, interior and life style products from upcycled material.

Raw materials range from fruit, books and textile to candle stumps. And she's just warming up... The starting point is what a discarded material can be, not what it has been.

In addition to this Helle strives to save the world by inspiring, teaching, lecturing and providing all sorts of services in the name of sustainability and the rational use of resources.

Helle and all her businesses and projects are based in Malmö.

Illuminating waste

SKRYTA [slow design] is an award-winning design studio making lamps loaded with love and good stories.

Together, Maria Zeilon and Lill O.Sjöberg create a mix of innovation and craftsmanship, driven by the shared passion for sustainable solutions.

It started with a vision, that turned into a lamp, growing organically. Now they have lamps proudly hanging in beautiful design interiors all over Europe. Each lamp with its own ID number.
