Green and just future

Anna Seravalli is a senior lecturer and design researcher at The School of Arts and Communication, Malmö University. She has a background as product and service designer and holds a PhD in Design and Social Innovation. Anna has an extensive experience in working at the boundary of design research and practice with a focus on sustainable transitions and public sector innovation. She engages with citizens, NGO, civil servants and local entrepreneurs. Anna has been the coordinator of one Malmö Living Labs and is the coordinator of Malmö University DESIS Lab and boundary crosser at the Institute for Sustainable City Development.

Per Linde has a PhD in the subject of interaction design. Research themes are the importance of co-design, the internet of things, smart cities and design for civil society. Per Linde is head of one unit at the School of Arts and Communication, at Malmö University. He participates in the research project CAPE - Civic Agency in Public E-service innovation which is funded by Nordforsk.

Marwa Dabaieh is an architect and BioGeometry® practitioner. Her expertise is in sustainable and environmentally conscious architecture. She has worked for the last 20 years in the field of zero emission and climate responsive design. Currently she is a Docent / associate professor at Malmö University and the architecture program director.

Pernilla Glaser is a writer, educator, experience designer with a focus on art and learning environments. She has a background as a theater director and senior process manager at Rise and works with participatory processes and collaboration skills for, among others, Världskulturmuseet, Malmö Theater Academy in Malmö and Förnyelselabbet/SVID. Pernilla has carried out the research project Navigating Complexity together with Lisa Carlgren at Rise. Pernilla is also the initiator of Salong Krångel, a platform for cross-competent reflection on complexity in collaboration with Rise and Sweco.

Pernilla will moderate this talk and the design research display.

The Forum for Social Innovation Sweden is a national knowledge and collaboration platform for social innovation and social enterprise in Sweden. Founded at Malmö University and developed in close collaboration with the City of Malmö since 2010. The forum today is established in regions across the country and at the five universities in Sweden from north to south: Luleå University of Technology, Umeå University, Örebro University, Jönköping University and Malmö University. The forum also collaborates internationally both within the EU and outside.  

The Forum for Social Innovation Sweden share and develop knowledge and experiences and create spaces where actors across sectors can meet and exchange ideas and best-practices in the field of social innovation.  

With research-based knowledge and methods, processes and tools for cross sectoral collaboration and social innovation, the forum support actors who want to collaborate with other organizations or sectors, or learn more about social innovation.  

Our mission is to promote social innovation as a force in reaching Agenda 2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Skissfestivalen (the Sketch Festival) is a platform for investigating and sharing experiences about the sketch as a method, quality and perspective in the interfaces between art, pedagogy and societal development. 

 

Without the sketch, there is no creation. Testing, messing up and trying is how thoughts and ideas develop, how materials arise and are activated and how interactions with others can be explored and understood. What does it mean to make a sketch? What are the ways to develop sketching as a process in different rooms and what qualities does the sketch have? 

 

Skissfestivalen is an initiative of Pernilla Glaser Boiler, Skissernas Museum, The School of Arts and Communication (K3) at Malmö University, (Marit Lindberg) Department of Architecture and Built Environment at The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University, Förnyelselabbet SVID, FormDesign / Syd and Konstfack and carried out in collaboration with Skånes Dansteater and Malmö Konsthall.
