Conversation on the New European Bauhaus

Finn Williams is the City Architect of Malmö. He previously worked to promote public architecture and planning in the UK through roles at Croydon Council and the Greater London Authority, and as the co-founder and chief executive of Public Practice.

Tiffany Fukuma is the Managing Director of Trans Europe Halles, a Sweden-based  international network of 140 grassroots arts and culture centres established in repurposed buildings, in 40 countries across Europe and beyond. From her successive international experience as a researcher, a community organizer, an arts and culture professional, and as a policymaker and a public funder, she draws original, contextual views of the evolutions of the culture sector, and a pragmatic, policy-based approach of how to sustain thriving arts and culture ecosystems in our cities.

Torben Klitgaard is the CEO of BLOXHUB – the Nordic Innovation Hub for sustainable urbanization. He a MSc in Economics, in Information Management and a MBA in Construction and is a Wharton Fellow in Strategic leadership. Torben has a substantial track record of working in the fields of government, management consulting, architecture, entrepreneurship and tech.

Anna Seravalli is a senior lecturer and design researcher at The School of Arts and Communication, Malmö University. She has a background as product and service designer and holds a PhD in Design and Social Innovation. Anna has an extensive experience in working at the boundary of design research and practice with a focus on sustainable transitions and public sector innovation. She engages with citizens, NGO, civil servants and local entrepreneurs. Anna has been the coordinator of one Malmö Living Labs and is the coordinator of Malmö University DESIS Lab and boundary crosser at the Institute for Sustainable City Development.

Lotta Orban is a journalist and has since 2002 worked with communication, mainly with research communication and to share research-based knowledge outside academia. Currently Lotta is a communicator at Forum for Social Innovation Sweden, at Malmö University.

The Forum for Social Innovation Sweden is a national knowledge and collaboration platform for social innovation and social enterprise in Sweden. Founded at Malmö University and developed in close collaboration with the City of Malmö since 2010. The forum today is established in regions across the country and at the five universities in Sweden from north to south: Luleå University of Technology, Umeå University, Örebro University, Jönköping University and Malmö University. The forum also collaborates internationally both within the EU and outside.  

The Forum for Social Innovation Sweden share and develop knowledge and experiences and create spaces where actors across sectors can meet and exchange ideas and best-practices in the field of social innovation.  

With research-based knowledge and methods, processes and tools for cross sectoral collaboration and social innovation, the forum support actors who want to collaborate with other organizations or sectors, or learn more about social innovation.  

Our mission is to promote social innovation as a force in reaching Agenda 2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
