Installation + Space = Nya Vinklar
Nya Vinklar is an art installation by scenographer, designer, architect and conceptual artist Jeanette Gostomski, where elastic ribbons rise from floor to ceiling and create a room in a room. It's almost like a cathedral feeling in the raw industrial roundhouse.
The installation was originally made by Jeanette as a 30 minutes one time performance in the mighty space of the old shipyard industry Kockums in Varvsstaden, where the shift from old industrial area to a residential area is depicted through art with special composed dance, music and lightdesign.
In connection with Southern Sweden Design Days and comissioned by Jernhusen, the real estate company for all traintrack buildings in Sweden, the installation has given space in a new historical building - in the volymous rail road train garage in Kirseberga, and where the dialogue continues about architecture in public spaces and the transformation from old to new, from what has been and what will come - space in between site and time.
