Formgivarpodden (The Designer Podcast) is Sweden’s only podcast about life as a designer and what it involves. Every other week, textile designer Karin Olu Lindgård chats with industrial designer Kajsa Willner about design topics together with a guest.

The conversations are centered around the guest's work and practice with the intention of getting to know the person behind the designs and their philosophy.

On Friday 20 May, Formgivarpodden will release a new episode, a conversation with Louise Hederström who is involved in a number of different program activities during this year's edition of Southern Sweden Design Days.

Kajsa Willner

Studio Kajsa Willner is a cross-disciplinary business that designs and sells objects in small series and also does commissions for visualising spatial installations, curating exhibitions as well as initiating new projects to create innovative symbioses between the design field and other industries in the region.

Kajsa Willner has a bachelor’s degree in furniture design from Italy. After completing her studies in Rome and Milan and a few years of internships and work experience in the Netherlands, she returned to Sweden and founded Studio Kajsa Willner in Malmö in 2013.

Kajsa Willner was shortlisted for Ung Svensk Form (Young Swedish Design) in 2014/15 and was the bronze winner of the A’Design Award 2017. In 2016 she was selected by Konst i Halland (Art in Halland, a regional resource centre operated by Region Halland and Halland Art Museum in Sweden) to be artist in residence at the Centre of Polish Sculpture in Orońsko, Poland.

Karin Olu Lindgård

Karin Olu Lindgård is a textile designer trained at the Royal Danish Design Academy in Copenhagen. Karin Olu Lindgård Studio works both with visionary design in her own studio and with commissions as a design consultant. As part of the duo Butler/Lindgård, she has had a solo exhibition at Wanås and been featured in international media by renowned design editor Katie Treggiden as an example of the development of Swedish textile design.

Louise Hederström

Louise Hederström is a furniture designer based in Malmö. After graduating in 1998 from Beckmans School of Design in Stockholm, she now has an extensive business as a designer. Her clients include some of the most respected manufacturing companies in Scandinavian design, such as Skandiform, Skagerak and Maze Interior. Louise regularly participates in exhibitions in Sweden and abroad and has also repeatedly been an instructor for various design education programmes.
